Paragon - Propac - Affordable Framed Art

Paragon’s need for affordable framed art in their accessory packages took the business in a new direction, profoundly shaping its future, when in 1979 the company began manufacturing framed prints. Paragon soon discovered an untapped market in the home furnishings industry: a need for well-designed pictures at affordable prices. In 1981, Paragon Picture Gallery was created and by 1989, the company closed the décor kit business and began focusing solely on wall décor.

The second generation joined the family business in the 1980’s; Lendell Glassco, President, Malanta Glassco-Knowles, Vice President of Design & Marketing and Vince Glassco, President of Propac Images. Members of the third generation of the Glassco family have the joined the business; Jordan Glassco-Smith and Colby Glassco at Propac and Madison Knowles-Stewart at Paragon.

In 1990, the company began manufacturing higher-end wall décor. Since that time Paragon has added new types of alternative wall décor including mirrors, canvases and wall sculptures. As the company continued to grow, Paragon acquired high end wall décor specialist, Kinder-Harris (rebranded as The Studio) for an added dimension of exclusive hand painted art and lamps to the product assortment.

As an awarding winning company, Paragon made ARTS history in 2010 by becoming the first wall décor inductee into the ARTS Hall of Fame with their fifth ARTS win and added another ARTS Award win in 2017.

Paragon currently maintains corporate showrooms in Atlanta, High Point and Las Vegas and a modern manufacturing facility located in Alabama.
