Judges Qualifications

  • Professional Experience:  Experience in home staging, interior design, or related fields. 

  • Membership in professional organizations such as IAHSP, ASID, or RESA  is a plus.

  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current trends, materials, and best practices in home staging and interior design.

  • Certification and Education: Relevant certifications or degrees in interior design, home staging, or a related field, is a plus.​​

  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current trends, materials, and best practices in home staging and interior design.

  • Ethical Standards: Commitment to ethical standards and fair judging practices

  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to assess the intricacies of design work.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide clear and constructive feedback.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to critically evaluate design elements, functionality, and overall aesthetic appeal.​

  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with other judges and panelists to reach a consensus.

  • Objectivity: Ability to remain unbiased and objective while evaluating entries.

IAHSP Awards Program. Judge agrees not to disclose, publish, or disseminate any Confidential Information to any third party without the prior written consent of IAHSP.  The Judge agrees to use the Confidential Information solely for the purpose of judging the IAHSP Home Staging Industry Awards and not for any other purpose.  The Judge agrees to take all reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of the Confidential Information, ensuring that it is not disclosed or distributed to unauthorized person.  The Judge shall conduct themselves with integrity and honesty, ensuring that their actions reflect positively on the IAHSP and the home staging industry.  The Judge shall remain objective and impartial in their evaluations, avoiding any bias or favoritism.  The Judge shall disclose any potential conflicts of interest to IAHSP and recuse themselves from judging any entry where such a conflict exists.  The Judge shall treat all participants, entries, and fellow judges with respect and professionalism.  The Judge shall adhere to the judging criteria established by IAHSP, ensuring that all entries are evaluated based on the same standards.  The Judge shall provide constructive feedback that is honest, respectful, and aimed at helping participants improve.  The Judge shall not disclose any judging results or discussions regarding the entries until the official announcement by IAHSP.
