Giving Back
Matters

From the Chairwoman
Giving back does matter. IAHSP was founded on the idea of community giving back. IAHSP is a community of business owners who are passionate about Home Staging, Real Estate and Design. But more importantly, our members love their communities, and are making a difference locally.

In this series, we highlight and feature the businesses and business owners who go above and beyond to serve and help their local communities, and the world.

Please share this article and help me share the stories of people within our community that are making a difference, because Giving Back Matters.
Jennie Norris
IAHSP, Chairwoman

From Giving to Growing: The Power of Contribution in Personal and Business Success
How Giving Back Can Boost Your Bottom Line and Make a Positive Impact on Society
Thank you for sitting with me and sharing about why and how you are so passionate about giving back. Before we get started on that, can you share a little bit about you and your business? Where are you located? What services you offer? Etc.
We are TNT Staging, owned by Tatiana Murga and Tatiana Mozerova, and we are a dynamic staging company located in Charlotte, NC. We offer a range of services, including vacant home staging, real estate photography, short-term rental (STR) set up, and an online furniture store, catering to the needs of investors, builders, homeowners, and real estate agents in the area.
As the "dynamite duo," we bring a unique blend of creativity, passion, and expertise to every project we undertake. Our goal is to exceed our clients' expectations and help them achieve their goals. Whether it's staging a vacant home, setting up a short-term rental property, or providing real estate photography, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service and outstanding results.
How did you get started as a business owner? What were you doing prior? And what was that moment like for you when you made the shift to your current business model?
TNT Staging began with a chance encounter that brought two talented individuals together. Tatiana Murga, with her impressive background in sales and corporate experience at 500 Fortune companies, had relocated from Moscow to the USA. Tatiana Mozerova, on the other hand, had a passion for design and was always brimming with creative ideas. She had lived in China and was and still is a big traveler, always seeking inspiration from new experiences.

The two Tatianas met at a Russian conversational hour at the International House many years ago and hit it off immediately. They soon discovered their shared interest in real estate and interior design.

After Tatiana Mozerova had her first child, she decided to pursue her passion for staging by taking the Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) course in 2017. This gave a start for TNT Staging, but it wasn't until Tatiana Murga joined that the team really took off.

Together, the two Tatianas created a dynamic duo that combined their diverse skill sets and expertise to offer exceptional staging services in the Charlotte, NC area. TNT Staging quickly gained a reputation for delivering beautiful and effective staging solutions that helped sellers showcase their properties in the best possible light.
Now, when it comes to giving back. Everyone has a different passion, typically from a personal life experience. Before we get into how you and your company gives back. Lets start with why you are passionate about giving back. Why does it matter to you that you give back?
Giving back matters to us because we understand firsthand the challenges of starting a new life in a new country. As two immigrant women who have built successful businesses in the USA, we are passionate about sharing our experiences, providing support, and empowering others, especially fellow immigrants. We believe that giving back is a way of acknowledging the support and opportunities that we have received and paying it forward to those who are facing similar challenges. It is a way of creating a positive impact in our community and making a difference in people's lives. We are committed to using our resources, time, and expertise to support causes that align with our values and passions and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
What is the biggest hurdle you face in addressing this need, and if you could magically solve it, what type of help would you want or need?
The biggest hurdle we face in addressing the need for giving back is finding the time and resources to support all the causes we are passionate about. As business owners, we are constantly juggling multiple responsibilities, and it can be challenging to find the time to volunteer.
We are fortunate to have incredible support from our team members, who are equally passionate about giving back to the community. Our team members have volunteered their time and resources to support our projects in the community. We believe that our team's commitment to giving back is a reflection of our shared values and the culture we have created at TNT Staging. We are proud to have a team that not only excels in their work but also has a heart for making a positive impact in the world.
Now for the good part. How are you and your company helping to address this issue? What do you do to give back?
As a company, we believe in supporting those in need, especially refugees and immigrants who have faced immense challenges and hardships. We understand the impact that war and displacement can have on people's lives, and we are committed to doing what we can to help. In addition to donating our personal items, we also donated furniture that we no longer use in staging. We believe that this furniture can serve a family in need and make a difference in their lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community.
Tatiana Mozerova, one of the owners of TNT Staging, recently participated in the Slavic Business Association Conference, "The Power of Giving Back". I was invited to speak about the importance of serving the community and inspiring other business owners to contribute their time, resources, and support to people in need. I spoke about our project in 2021 which we fully furnished a condo for a refugee family from Israel, and how this experience touched our hearts and reinforced our commitment to helping others.
Can you share a story of how you and your company, through your passion for this, impacted a person or your community?
One recent project that we did in the community was to fully furnish a condo for a married couple of refugees from Ukraine with their baby girl on her way. We were moved by their story and wanted to do our part in helping them settle into their new home. Our team members volunteered their time and personal items, such as a baby crib, hair dryer, pots, and pans, to ensure that the family had everything they needed to start their new life. It was heartwarming to see the joy and relief on their faces when they saw their new home, fully furnished and ready for them to move in. How has your giving back impacted yourself or your team? Sometimes, the greatest impact from helping others, is the impact it makes within ourselves and our team.
Our commitment to giving back has impacted both ourselves and our team in so many positive ways. For us, it has been incredibly fulfilling to use our talents and resources to make a difference in our community. It gives us a sense of purpose beyond just our business and reminds us of what's truly important in life.

Our team members have also been impacted by our giving back initiatives. By volunteering their time and resources, they have been able to develop new skills, form deeper connections with their colleagues, and gain a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment in their work. It's been amazing to see the positive impact that our collective efforts have had, both on the individuals we've helped and on our team as a whole. Charity projects bring teams together and improve relationships within any team.
Though we would love to solve issues and end the need for support and assistance, where do you see things going over the next 5-10 years? Will you and your team continue to help? And what can we, as a community do to support your efforts?
While we would love to see an end to the need for support and assistance, we recognize that there will always be individuals and families in our community who need help. Over the next 5-10 years, we plan to continue our efforts to give back and make a difference in the lives of those around us. We will continue to seek out opportunities to support and empower individuals and families, and to work with our community to make a positive impact.

In addition, we were also inspired by the Charlotte chapter of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP) and their dedication to supporting the community, including their volunteer work at Foster Village Charlotte. Their involvement and passion for giving back motivated us to do more and get involved in our own way. We are grateful for the support and guidance from our fellow industry professionals and are committed to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact in our community.

In terms of how the community can support our efforts, there are a few things that would be incredibly helpful. One is simply spreading the word about the ways how we as a community can help. The more people know about our efforts, the more likely we are to attract support and resources that can help us make an even bigger impact. Additionally, there is always need for volunteers and donations of resources like furniture, household goods, and other items that can help support families in need. Finally, we would love to see more businesses and individuals in our community make a commitment to giving back and supporting those in need. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives.
Sometimes, we gain emotionally, more than we give. What are 3 things you have learned from supporting this cause?
Indeed, supporting a cause can bring immense joy and happiness. We have learned that the act of giving back is a two-way street. While we may provide support and resources to those in need, we often gain a sense of fulfillment and gratitude in return. It is truly a win-win situation.

Another lesson we have learned is the power of community. When we come together as a group, we can achieve so much more than we ever could alone. Our team and our network of volunteers have shown us that the power of collective action is truly amazing.

Finally, we have learned that there is always more that we can do. Even as we have made an impact in our community, we know that there are still many more individuals and families who need our support. This knowledge motivates us to continue our efforts and look for new ways to contribute to our community.
A lot of businesses would like to give back, or support a cause, but may be limited on time or money. How has supporting this cause impacted you, your team, your clients or customers, that would validate the time, cost or commitment.
While monetary donations are always appreciated, there are many other ways to support a cause or organization. Donating your time and skills can be just as valuable, if not more so, than a financial contribution. Volunteer your time to help with events, assist in administrative work, or provide your professional skills pro bono. Donating goods, such as clothing or furniture, can also make a huge impact. Additionally, spreading awareness about a cause or organization through word of mouth or social media can help raise visibility and support. The most important thing is to find a way to give back that aligns with your passions and resources, and to make a consistent effort to support those in need.
