AI virtual staging tools and quick “staging” shortcuts are being promoted directly to real estate agents as fast, inexpensive ways to make listings look better online. But the issue is much bigger than whether an image can be improved.

It raises a serious question for our industry: What happens when the RE industry confuses a marketing image with the professional process of preparing property for sale?
