Tampa Bay Chapter

More Photos' from our 2006 Staging Day:

Article
On ASP-IAHSP Worldwide Staging Service Day, twelve members* of the Tampa Bay Chapter of IAHSP staged The Women’s Shelter of the Free Clinic of St. Petersburg, Florida. The shelter consists of two separate buildings connected by a courtyard. Chapter President, Deborah Ehrlich of Staging Plus Inc. along with Ambassador Sandy Honeycutt of Staged Homes by Design, undertook the project with the enthusiastic cooperation of the shelter’s administrator, Susan Canty. Two members’ husbands, Preston Honeycutt and Terrell Thompson pitched in the brawn that was so needed, doing carpentry, installing rods and window treatments and being all-around fantastic helpers. Kelly McFrederick's daughter Chloe pitched in as well. It was a great group effort.
Several rooms were in dire need of paint and amazingly, two chapter members Judi Pobst (Staged Homes by Design) and Jayne Weissman (Suncoast Staged Homes) found two different painting companies, Teddy Bear Painting and the Sun Coast Chapter of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, willing to donate their talents. Each company painted one of the two homes in advance of the event. They painted two living rooms, the hallways in each home, as well as the kitchen, dining room and director’s office in one of the homes.
And talk about great donations, member Jayne Weissman and husband Ronnie donated an entire office of new furniture for the center’s director. Needless to say, Susan Canty was thrilled to have new digs - beautifully staged with new furniture and lovely new window treatments
Staging day was a glorious and soul-satisfying event! The common areas were transformed, of course, to light, bright and inspiring and the courtyard was spiffed up with a new umbrella for the table and new cushions for the outdoor furniture. Judi Pobst turned the jumble which was the residents’store” into an elegant boutique.
Not a stone was left unturned and the residents and all the folks associated with the St. Petersburg Free Clinic are thrilled with the results.
