Halton Peel Chapter
For International Worldwide Staging Service Day the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP) Staging Community in the GTA came together like never before!
The Project of Our Affection
With the help of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, the Halton Peel IAHSP Chapter was able to help the Yellow Brick House, in Aurora, Ontario.
To report that the commitment and contribution was overwhelming is an understatement. So many contributed their money, time and love to freshen up the bedrooms of the Yellow Brick House Shelter for women and children into a truly wonderful, warm and lovely environment.
The compliments from the shelter's staff and residents were heart warming on the dull and dreary day and brought tears to us all. "It was like bringing in some fresh spring air (even though it's September) with hope..."
In terms of what was achieved, the team completed a total makeover for over 20 beds and 6 cribs. Absolutely everything was changed out, from mattress covers to sheets, blankets, comforters, pillow and pillow cases. At the foot of each bed a cozy blanket with hearts was placed to snuggle up if reading a book in bed or taking a nap. Every bed received a brand new look and feel.
The dining room also received a fresh new look with table cloths, place mats, chair cushions and the transformation was both warm and stunning.
I know that all of us on that day received much more than a sense of accomplishment, but also overwhelming sense of pride in our community efforts reminding us of what we do on a daily basis, which is change peoples lives!
So to all who gave so much of their time, energy and financial support, I can only offer our gratitude and appreciation. Because you have cared, the quality of the lives of many people have been improved and made a little more bearable.
A special thanks for Cheryl Dalakis, ASP, a Royal LePage Agent in Aurora who invested so much time and energy on this project as our IAHSP Project Ambassador. Without your efforts and those in your office - Royal LePage Your Community Realty - this project would not have happened!

If it wasn't for the generosity from communities and ASP's across the GTA this project would not have been possible. The list below is in no particular order, as without each person or company on the list this project would not have been successful, including their time, energy, effort and donations.
