"There's no place like our home"
Hi Barb!
Wow! What a rewarding experience it was to stage the Ronald McDonald House in Detroit! The Great Lakes Chapter really pulled together to do a fabulous job! Heather Durren made excellent choices in her shopping, so she made it easy for those of us putting the Weekender Room together. And her leadership on the Playroom resulted in a creative, inventive space for the children coming to the house. Boy, do they have toys now! Monica was our "photographer" and also put in many hours. The garden was transformed, especially by Darla's addition of a beautiful fountain (In stager-like tradition, she purchased it at Target for 75% off!) Of course, we couldn't have accomplished all this without the support of our wonderful Affiliates and other Sponsors, who donated time, money and major supplies (carpet, blinds, paint, etc.)
But I really want to applaud Carolyn Stieger--she was a great leader and coordinated all the efforts, as well as making the actual first contact with the Ronald McDonald House. Carolyn is a shining example of giving back to the community through staging!
Thanks for establishing such a significant and meaningful way for us to share the joy and beauty of staging!

It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday at the RMH! I was thrilled that you took the time out of your schedule to join us during the celebration on the completion of our project.
I hope you could see the enthusiasm of our Great Lakes IAHSP Chapter members! We're very proud to have had the opportunity to make The Ronald McDonald House - Detroit our 2006 World Wide Staging Service Day Project!
We still have several donations coming in and I don't have a final number yet. But, with the donations in goods and services thus far we have over $12,500!! That does not include the hours that our ASP's, Accredit Staging Professionals, invested in the project. I could safely add another $8,000 minimum for our hours invested.
As I mentioned yesterday, you can visit StagedHomes.com and learn more about Barb Schwarz, her background, the company and her vision, "Work Locally. . . Think Globally!"
I would appreciate your assistance in providing us with the articles and dates of plublication regarding our project. I believe you mentioned there were three articles that you were aware of.
I hope we can keep in touch and work on other projects with Jennifer in the future.
